Job Summary
Architectural leadership role anchoring Charlottesville team as Project Architect or Senior Project Architectural Coordinator. Lead design development and technical execution across educational and commercial projects, manage complex renovations and new construction, drive BIM coordination with Revit, oversee construction documentation, and ensure code compliance. Serve as primary technical liaison between project managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams; provide design mentorship to junior staff; engage with clients and contractors to meet milestones with precision and transparency; stay ahead of sustainable design trends and evolving building codes to advance the firm’s regional leadership in AEC practices.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressive architectural experience with a proven track record in technical project delivery
- Software Proficiency: Expert-level command of Revit for complex modeling, detailing, and project coordination
- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of building systems, materials, and IBC/local building codes
- Sector Experience: K–12 Educational facilities or high-end commercial office projects
- Licensure: Active AIA licensure or a clear path to imminent registration
- Specialized Knowledge: Familiarity with LEED/sustainable design principles or historic renovation protocols
