Job Summary
Architect IV leads design, documentation and construction administration across complex projects in life sciences and food & beverage sectors. Serves as the Architect of Record, coordinating with internal and external teams, mentoring staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include executing all phases of design, generating complex code analyses and drawing packages, developing studies and presentations, applying International Building Code, coordinating with engineering and construction personnel, leading RFI responses and submittal reviews, assisting in resource planning and budgeting, conducting quality checks, resolving design challenges, and presenting to clients. This role is onsite in Jacksonville, FL with a hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
Required Qualifications
- Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch, and/or D.Arch) or Canadian / International equivalent
- History of successful, cross-discipline project coordination and execution on a variety of project types
- Ability to develop (or guide development of) complete set of Construction Documents and Specifications for complex projects
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office suite
- Architectural license in good standing within home state, plus NCARB certification or ability to obtain
- Relevant AEC (Architectural, Engineering or Construction) firm experience
- At least ten years professional experience, with a minimum three years focused on strategic, master, or space planning or programming
