Job Summary
Architect III at JPMorganChase within the Payments Technology of Commercial Investment Banking leads architectural solutions and collaborates with other architects to develop high-quality architecture solutions for diverse software applications. Responsible for executing architecture solutions and troubleshooting beyond routine approaches, creating secure production code and maintaining algorithms, producing architecture and design artifacts, evaluating and providing feedback on technical design, representing the product in governance, leading technology evaluations, gathering and visualizing data for continuous improvement, identifying hidden data patterns to drive coding hygiene and system architecture improvements, and contributing to architecture communities of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts
- 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Proficient in coding in one or more languages
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
- Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
