Job Summary
Prepare or modify complex detailed implementation documents and drawings using diverse architectural principles and advanced techniques. Lead team planning to develop solutions for technical and design detail problems with limited guidance, while reviewing implementation documents by the architectural team. Collaborate on project schedules, coordinate with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors to incorporate engineering systems and obtain approvals. Validate that code and zoning requirements are met, present design concepts to clients, and participate in team meetings to discuss project issues and coordinate with other disciplines. Attend on-site visits, field reviews, and project meetings to document progress and prepare meeting minutes. Seek leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members while fostering collaborative professional relationships. Deliver projects within defined budget requirements, with travel required as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture
- Architectural Registration required (Cédula Profesional)
- Typically 5+ years of experience in equivalent quality design firms
- Proficiency in Revit
- Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Navisworks and 3D modeling software
- Strong knowledge of architectural building systems and QA/QC process
- Strong knowledge of building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to support leadership
- Ability to communicate and present ideas in a clear, concise and professional manner both verbally and in writing
- Ability to problem solve and apply innovative solutions
- Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
- Travel may be required
Desired Qualifications
- Sustainable design accreditation preferred
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software preferred
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite preferred
