Job Summary
Lead design and technical efforts across multiple project phases, contributing to project strategy, client engagement, and team leadership. Manage complex tasks independently by coordinating with consultants, supporting project delivery through high-quality documentation, and overseeing production of construction documents. Serve as a key contributor to project success by mentoring junior staff, guiding design development, and collaborating closely with Project Managers and Principals. Conduct advanced design analyses, evaluate materials for constructability and sustainability, and facilitate design meetings with clarity. This role sits within HGA's growing community, workplace & interiors practice group in San Jose, CA, where the firm designs with impact and thrives in a collaborative, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution
- 7–10 years of professional experience including work on small to large-scale projects
- Licensed architect
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
- Experience with BIM workflows and project management tools (e.g., VantagePoint)
