Architect

Architect at Barker Associates based in Braintree. Lead day-to-day architectural delivery across education, commercial and residential sectors; act as primary architectural point of contact with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams; develop, coordinate and deliver design proposals from concept through technical design; produce and oversee technical drawings, specifications and schedules for planning, building regulations, tender and construction stages; coordinate architectural information with structural, civil, MEP, sustainability and surveying disciplines; prepare and manage statutory submissions including planning applications and building regulation packages; support procurement and construction activities including tender documentation and site inspections; attend client and design team meetings; ensure compliance with Building Regulations and British Standards; manage workload to meet quality, fee and programme targets; provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members; engage with sustainability and low-carbon design principles.
