Job Summary
Direct daily direction to associates in the department, covering merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, stocking, and customer service. Prepare to-do lists, execute merchandising directives, and maintain planograms. Support achievement of sales, gross margin, shrinkage, and payroll goals while coaching staff on product knowledge and service standards. Coordinate training, conduct interviews, prepare weekly schedules, and resolve customer and associate issues. Ensure accurate pricing, UPC integrity, and proper assortment for advertised items. Maintain a positive, harassment-free environment and provide legendary customer experiences through tailored product recommendations and program promotion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years in Retail Sales
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to read and analyze certain reports
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Managers, associates, customers, and the general public
- Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
- Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers and with the Corporate Staff
Desired Qualifications
- Supervisory experience is a plus
