Job Summary
Lead and oversee the East Union Archery Club as Head Archery Coach, organizing practices and training in NASP safety guidelines, ensuring participant eligibility and NASP tournament compliance, representing the district at NASP events, developing practice plans centered on safety, sportsmanship, and teamwork, supervising participants at practices and events, maintaining rosters and tournament registrations, managing equipment to NASP standards, coordinating transportation and scheduling with district administration, promoting positive conduct and community outreach, and performing other duties as assigned by the Activities Director or Principal.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Coaching Endorsement
- Current NASP Basic Archery Instructor (BAI) certification, or ability to obtain certification within a timeframe approved by the district
- Knowledge of NASP rules, regulations, equipment standards, and tournament procedures
- Ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents, and community members
- Successful completion of all required background checks and district requirements
