Job Summary
Supervise small crews conducting cultural resources inventory surveys and data recovery excavations while ensuring project schedules and budgets are met. Interact professionally with clients and agency personnel, review crew paperwork for compliance, and assist in determining National Register eligibility for resource sites. Mentor and train inexperienced crew members in proper field techniques, conduct Class I background research prior to fieldwork, and communicate results to supervisors. Draft reports, coordinate with GIS staff for figure production, and present findings to various audiences. Based in the Tucson, Arizona office, this role supports the Southwest Cultural Resources team within Trinity Consultants' Water and Ecology division.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree with a focus in Archaeology, Anthropology, or a related field
- Minimum of one (1) year of archaeological field experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong leadership, supervision, and mentoring skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills
- Ability to assist in writing and editing archaeological reports
- Knowledge of archaeological field and laboratory methods
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in the applicable region
- Familiarity with MS Access
