Job Summary

Conduct archaeological fieldwork to locate and identify resources, monitor construction projects, and collect data and samples. Analyze historic and prehistoric artifacts, document methodologies and findings, and take daily notes on field progress. Schedule fieldwork based on project timelines, instruct crews on equipment and methods, and assist in writing archaeological reports and site forms. Use National Register Criteria to recommend site eligibility and work with technical staff to ensure quality standards. Lead team members through performance management, coaching, and goal setting. Requires a Master's degree, three years of cultural resources management experience, and ability to work 50% in the field and 50% in the office.

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree from an accredited school in archaeology
Must meet the Secretary of the Interior's Qualification Standards for Archaeologists
3+ years' experience in cultural resources management of archaeology projects
1+ year of leadership experience
Demonstrated experience in Phase I-III fieldwork
Proficiency in ESRI FieldMaps Application or similar applications
Regional (Texas/Oklahoma/Louisiana) experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology
