Archaeological Field Technicians (Field Based)

Job Summary
Archaeological Field Technicians will support survey efforts for projects across Arizona by conducting intensive pedestrian surveys, monitoring construction to protect resources, identifying and recording artifacts, delineating site boundaries, maintaining field notes, and assisting with background research and technical report drafting. Requires travel across Arizona, willingness to work weekends/overtime, outdoor work in variable weather, and ability to work both independently and within a crew. Master’s in Anthropology preferred; BA preferred. Full-time, limited-term role with possible extension; ERM emphasizes sustainability and equal opportunity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Anthropology or closely related field (preferred)
- Master's in Anthropology (preferred)
- 1 year of related experience (Southwest preferred)
- Archaeological field school or prior archaeological field survey experience
- Ability to travel extensively throughout Arizona
- Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed
- Working knowledge of archaeological survey and monitoring protocols
- Ability to work outdoors in variable weather and terrain
- Ability to work independently and as part of a crew
