Job Summary
Design and implement scalable ArcGIS Enterprise architectures, including Portal, Server, and Enterprise Geodatabases, while developing system diagrams and deployment strategies for cloud and on-prem environments. Configure environments to meet performance, security, and scalability requirements, integrate platforms with enterprise systems, and support DevOps practices. Provide technical leadership to project teams, perform system tuning and troubleshooting, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. Establish geospatial governance frameworks, define metadata standards, and ensure adherence to enterprise GIS policies. This role aligns with Dewberry's mission to deliver high-quality geospatial services across 60 locations nationwide.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 5–7 years of experience in GIS with a focus on enterprise systems
- Strong experience with ArcGIS Enterprise (Portal, Server, Data Store, and Enterprise Geodatabases)
- Experience with ArcGIS Online and hybrid deployments
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
- Experience with security protocols and identity management (AD, SSO)
- Experience with databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of web services (REST, APIs) and system integration
- Strong understanding of system architecture and infrastructure design
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with scripting/automation (Python, PowerShell)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience supporting utilities, infrastructure, or government clients
