Job Summary
ARC Senior Analyst role within bp's Finance Business & Technology (FBT) team. Responsible for timely and accurate quarter-end and month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany processes, segment reporting, and supporting group audits. Will liaise with Business/Country teams, BPO and other stakeholders; resolve audit and tax queries; provide performance feedback for BPO teams; and support implementation of ongoing projects such as systems simplification and organizational structure simplification. Requires a relevant degree, strong English fluency, and proven analytical, numeracy, and financial skills; customer-focused mindset; ability to work under pressure; and willingness to work a weekly split shift. Hybrid work arrangement with offices in Budapest or Szeged, Hungary, and relocation within the country as applicable. Emphasis on accounting policy, financial reporting, internal controls, data analysis, and process improvement within a global energy company environment.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant degree and previous experience in related Finance area
- Fluency in English
- Strong analytical and system thinking skills
- Strong level of analytical skills, numeracy and financial understanding
- Customer- and service-oriented thinking
- Availability to support local business hours on a weekly split shift basis
