Job Summary
Conduct daily driving routes for pickup and drop-off of donations at the warehouse, assigned boxes, and donor homes. Perform daily vehicle inspections, maintain clean cab and box, and plan routes based on assigned pick-ups. Secure and safely handle goods during loading and unloading, providing assistance to Thrift Store personnel for proper item placement. Instruct and supervise a Truck Helper within the work therapy program while maintaining complete delivery manifests and trip logs. Report accidents, injuries, or equipment issues immediately to the supervisor and adhere strictly to the Manual for Production Assistants. Maintain a professional appearance and courteous customer interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively
- Valid driver's license for assigned vehicles and acceptable DMV record
- Must pass driving test
- Must be able to lift 100 lbs
- Must be able to read maps and plan and prioritize daily route coverage
- Must be able to use Ipad with GPS, texting and truck inspection report
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
- Medical card required depending on city and/or state requirement
- Passing a DOT Physical is a requirement of the job
