Job Summary
Maintain safe and sanitary conditions in the kitchen, dining room, and storage areas while ensuring all posted schedules are followed for adequate staffing. Prepare meals according to menus, serve food on time, and rotate leftovers quickly by checking freezers and refrigerators daily. Track inventory of all food and supplies, ensure kitchen security, assist with time cards, and help plan food quantities. This role supports the Adult Rehabilitation Center's mission to provide healthy living environments through the collection and resale of gently used goods.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma, equivalent, or relevant work experience
- knowledge of kitchen
- experience with food preparation for large groups
- ability to follow directions
- ability to lead a team
- certificate of completion of ServSafe or government program/training for kitchen safety
