Job Summary
Partner with the local manager to manage and develop the office safety program while providing on-site training, mentoring, and supervision of crew members. Conduct periodic audits of crews, facilities, and pesticide storage, and ensure new employee orientations are meaningful. Schedule and lead daily Tailgate Safety Meetings, guaranteeing all tree care work meets industry and company standards. Perform ground, tree climbing, and aerial lift duties for specific job assignments, including tree identification, risk assessments, pruning, removals, cabling, and bracing. Maintain and operate hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts safely while adhering to all safety rules and policies.
Required Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of experience in the tree care industry
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Demonstrated ability to conduct group and individual training or prior crew leader experience
- Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, and self-motivated
- ISA Certified Arborist certification is preferred but not required
Desired Qualifications
- Class B CDL
