Job Summary
Perform tree and shrub care treatments using spray, injection, and soil tools as prescribed by the Arborist Representative. Communicate with clients regarding site visit work, mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers according to diagnosis and safety procedures, and maintain all equipment and vehicles. Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple properties throughout the day while completing accurate daily record-keeping and reporting. Work as a member of a tree care crew under the Arborist Crew Leader's supervision during the off-season.
Required Qualifications
- A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
- Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Learn to identify trees and shrubs common to the region
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or Certificate in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field
- prior experience working in landscaping or horticulture
