Job Summary
Perform tree and shrub care treatments using spray, injection, and soil injection tools as prescribed by the Arborist Representative. Communicate with clients regarding work performed during site visits and mix, apply pesticides, and fertilizers according to diagnosis, safety procedures, and label instructions. Maintain and operate equipment and vehicles, including hand tools, spray agitators, and machinery, while completing accurate record-keeping and reporting daily. Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple properties throughout the day and work as a member of a tree care crew under supervision during the off-season.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Learn to identify trees and shrubs common to the region
Desired Qualifications
- A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field
- Prior experience working in landscaping or horticulture
