Job Summary
Perform tree and shrub care treatments using spray, injection, and soil injection tools as prescribed by the Arborist Representative. Mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers according to diagnosis, safety procedures, and state laws while maintaining and operating equipment and vehicles. Communicate with clients regarding work performed during site visits and complete accurate daily record-keeping and reporting. Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple properties throughout the day. This role supports the preservation of trees and shrubs on commercial and residential properties, with hands-on training provided by the dedicated team of arborists.
Required Qualifications
- one-year minimum experience
- pass a criminal background check
- Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Ability to obtain a Commercial Pesticide Applicator License
- Valid driver's license
- clean motor vehicle record
- Learn to identify trees and shrubs common to the region
Desired Qualifications
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field
- prior experience working in landscaping or horticulture
- Good team work ethic
