Job Summary
Perform tree and shrub care treatments using spray, injection, and soil tools as prescribed by the Arborist Representative. Communicate with clients regarding site visits and mix, apply pesticides, and fertilizers according to diagnoses, safety procedures, and state laws. Maintain and operate hand tools, spray agitators, and other machinery while completing accurate daily record-keeping. Safely drive a company vehicle to multiple properties throughout the day. Work as a member of a tree care crew under the Arborist Crew Leader's supervision during the off-season.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and clean motor vehicle record
- Learn to identify trees and shrubs common to the region
Desired Qualifications
- A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field
- Prior experience working in landscaping or horticulture
