Arborist - Disaster Recovery & Damage Assessment

Job Summary
Conduct field assessments of trees and vegetation affected by wildfire and disaster conditions in Spokane, Washington. Identify hazardous, damaged, or unstable trees, measure diameter, use GPS and laser rangefinders for documentation, and photograph site conditions. Communicate findings to leadership, prioritize areas for mitigation, and maintain accurate records while adhering to HAZWOPER, respiratory protection, and PPE requirements. Work outdoors in changing environments with extended hours and varying schedules. Immediate deployment required; ISA certification and 40-hour HAZWOPER certification mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- ISA Certification
- 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
- Bloodborne Pathogens training
- First Aid/CPR certification
- Current medical clearance from a physician/medical provider
- Must be able to successfully pass a respiratory fit test
- Must have and be prepared to use required PPE
- Ability to work safely in outdoor, potentially hazardous environments
- Ability to work extended hours and varying schedules based on project needs
- Must be physically capable of performing field inspections and walking through potentially uneven, debris-filled, or hazardous areas
- Must be able to provide proof of ISA Certification
- Must be able to provide proof of 40-Hour HAZWOPER
- Must be able to provide proof of 8-Hour HAZWOPER refresher, when applicable
- Must be able to provide proof of Bloodborne Pathogens training
- Must be able to provide proof of First Aid/CPR
- Must be able to provide proof of Medical clearance
- Must be able to provide proof of Respiratory fit-test clearance
- Must be able to provide proof of any other required safety training or credentials
