Job Summary
Conduct on-the-job training to safely perform arboriculture tasks including tree climbing, pruning, rigging, cabling, bracing, and hazardous tree removal. Operate hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts while implementing work zone safety procedures and adhering to all company policies. Assist Arborist Climbers and Crew Leaders on the ground and aloft, and handle driving, backing, and dumping duties. Gain practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care on commercial and residential properties. Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- A passion for nature, the environment, and the outdoors
- Interest in working outdoors year-round in all weather conditions
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team
Desired Qualifications
- Prior tree care, landscaping, forestry, turf care, or horticulture experience
- Degree in Arboriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, Turfgrass, Environmental Science, Plant Science, Outdoor Recreation, Agriculture or a related field
