Job Summary
Prune, thin, and remove deadwood in tree canopies while installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Operate chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, and assist with site setup, debris removal, and cleanup. Adhere to safety policies and maintain all equipment. Requires minimum one year of climbing experience, Certified Arborist certification or willingness to obtain, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Full-time year-round position at $21-$27/hour with excellent benefits, RRSP/TFSA program, and stock purchase opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
- Minimum 1 year of climbing experience
- Certified Arborist or willingness to work towards
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Valid provincial driver's license
- Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Must be 18 years of age or older
