Job Summary
Prune, thin, and remove deadwood in tree canopies at various heights while installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Maintain and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts, and assist with site setup, debris removal, and cleanup. Adhere to safety policies and procedures while safely ascending trees at all heights. Full-time year-round employment with a wage of $21–$27/hour based on qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
- Minimum 1 year of climbing experience
- Certified Arborist or willingness to work towards
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Valid provincial driver's license
- Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Must be 18 years of age or older
