Job Summary
Conduct pruning, thinning, and deadwood removal in tree canopies at various heights. Install cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts. Assist with job site setup, debris removal, and cleanup while adhering to safety policies. Requires minimum one year of climbing experience, certified arborist status or willingness to obtain, and ability to lift 50 lbs. Full-time year-round employment at $21-$27/hour in Kitchener, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
- Minimum 1 year of climbing experience
- Certified Arborist or willingness to work towards
- Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Valid provincial driver's license
- Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset
- Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
- Must be 18 years of age or older
