Job Summary
Arabic Linguist position to support Language Support Services for YSG/TU contracts. Responsibilities include interpretation in-person and virtual, translation of written, electronic, audio, and video materials, document review/editing, and foreign-language instruction; potential expansion to additional linguistic support tasks as needs arise. This evergreen requisition covers multiple language requirements for current and future government contracts across remote and CONUS locations. Candidates may be considered for a range of language-support roles, with security vetting/clearance expected per task order, and ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Working proficiency (ILR level 2+) in English for CAT I; local/non-local hire options; security vetting as applicable.
- Category II: US citizen, security vetted, possible interim access to SECRET for specific contracts.
- Category III: ILR level 3 in English; US citizen with TOP SECRET clearance with SCI access OR interim TS clearance as required.
- Ability to provide idiomatic translations between English and foreign language; accurate consecutive translation/interpreting.
- Experience providing foreign language instruction to adult students.
- Familiarity with local culture and customs; ability to work under high pressure and in teams.
- Willingness to live/work in harsh environments as mission dictates.
