Job Summary
Arabic language instruction for LEAP/AFCLC eMentor program, delivering one-on-one and small-group sessions (1-on-1 or with groups of 2-4 Scholars) via the UCC platform, preparing lesson plans and instructional aids, aligning with ILR objectives (ILR 2+), and supporting OnDemand scheduling in LEaDeR; duties include administering curricula, preparing materials, ensuring session quality, managing live sessions, troubleshooting technical issues, providing feedback, monitoring attendance, and coordinating weekly schedule availability for remote learners while maintaining content in culturally and geopolitically relevant contexts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in language instruction or related social science field (e.g., History, Political Science, International Relations, Anthropology, Archeology, Cultural Geography)
- Language skills equivalent to ILR Advanced Professional Proficiency or ACTFL Superior in each instructed language/dialect
- Ability to deliver instruction and assessments across ILR 0 through ILR 3+
- Extensive knowledge of foreign language teaching techniques, instructional systems, learning theory, educational psychology, and instructional design
- Experience with multimedia design and delivery methods
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and other productivity software
- Capability to pass background check
- Must be able to deliver instruction across proficiency levels and provide feedback/assessments
