Job Summary
Health Care Accounts Receivable Specialist responsible for ensuring accurate payment for medical supplies through insurance; duties include reviewing and reconciling underpaid claims, applying correct write-off codes, correcting and resubmitting rejected claims, tracking unprocessed claims, and communicating with patients, physicians, and internal teams to gather required documentation while maintaining HIPAA compliance and proper debt collection practices.
Required Qualifications
- Healthcare Administration certificate
- Bachelor's degree or at least 2 years of relevant work experience
- One year of experience with health care accounts receivable or an equivalent education
- Durable medical equipment or health care experience (preferred)
- Strong typing and computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
