Job Summary
Review claims to identify denials, research correction reasons, and submit appeals or re-submittals using insurance software like Navinet and Availity. Enter remittance information from payers, process adjustments, and accurately identify credits, write-offs, and patient responsibilities. Contact insurance companies to resolve claim issues while managing high-volume resolution tasks. Requires 2+ years of medical billing experience, proficiency with UB-04 and CMS-1500 forms, and strong communication skills. Competitive hourly wages of $20-$23 with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
Required Qualifications
- at least 2 years of experience in Medical Billing, AR and Payer Collections
- Minimum 2 years in similar role processing claims, payment posting and or claims research
- Ability to effectively manage high claims resolution volume
- Prior experience working with health insurance claims (UB-04 OR CMS-1500) and HCPC codes
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills
- Understanding of denial codes, common rejection reasons, timely filing limits

- Experience with surpassing quotas and goals
- Computer proficiency especially with Excel, MS Office Suite and Database Management application software
