Job Summary
An Aquatics Swim Instructor at Life Time teaches swimming to adults and children, assesses swimming ability to assign correct swim levels, maintains a safe, clean pool environment, and promotes Life Time aquatics programs. The role involves instructing swimming lessons and aquatics events, responding to member questions, and ensuring a safe, orderly pool area while supporting program sales and member engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Working towards a High School Diploma or GED
- Years of Experience: Successfully complete and pass all Life Time courses upon hire
- Ability to work in a stationary position and move about the club for prolonged periods
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
- Licenses / Certifications / Registrations: StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
- For Canada, Lifesaving Society Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C
