Aquatics Supervisor

Job Summary
Oversee daily pool operations, lifeguard and activities staff, and maintain proper water conditions while conducting and attending department meetings. Assist the Recreation Department in planning, training, and executing special events and themed weekends, including hosting activities as needed. Monitor equipment and supplies, evaluate staff performance, and fill in for lifeguards or attendants when required. This part-time role at Hershey Lodge involves evening shifts and may include early mornings or weekends, with a focus on family and convention group recreational activities. Candidates must obtain Pennsylvania State Police, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances prior to employment.
Required Qualifications
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid Driver's License
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 year work experience in recreation setting
- Proven employee/guest relations, problem-solving, and organization skills
- Professional image representative of property image
- Complete mobility
- Good physical conditioning
- Good hearing and vision
- Ability to tolerate heat
- Ability to push a maximum of 75 lbs
- Current Jeff Ellis and Associates and/or American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification
- Current Pesticide License
- Current AFO or CPO pool certifications
- Report of criminal history from the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP)
- Child Abuse History Clearance from the Department of Human Services
- Fingerprint-based federal criminal history submitted through the Pennsylvania State Police or its authorized agent (FBI)
Desired Qualifications
- Lifeguard Instructor Certification
- Current Jeff Ellis and Associates and/or American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification, a plus
- Lifeguard Instructor Certification, a plus
- Current Pesticide License, a plus
- Current AFO or CPO pool certifications, a plus
