Job Summary
The Aquatics Manager at NorthRiver Yacht Club will oversee the overall pool operation, ensuring safety and effective pool maintenance. Key responsibilities include hiring and training staff, maintaining chemical balance, resolving customer service issues, implementing safety programs, and managing the operational budget. Candidates should have experience in pool management, hold required lifeguard and swimming instructor certifications, and possess a preferred bachelor’s degree in a related field. Physical requirements include the ability to work in humid environments and meet physical demands of the role.
Required Qualifications
- Preferred bachelor’s degree in education, Physical Education, Recreation Management or Health Sciences, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have current Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate.
- Red Cross progressive Swimming Instructor Certificate Desirable.
- American Red Cross Basic First Aid.
- Certified Pool/Spa Operator (CPO) or w/i 90 days of start date.
- Three years of experience as an Assistant Pool Manager at a club of comparable size and stature or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Competitive swimming experience as either a coach or athlete preferred but not essential.
- Private club experience preferred.
