Job Summary
Aquatics Head Swim Team Coach responsible for writing and running Swim Team Group Workouts according to the season plan, training the Swim Team Coaches, overseeing participant registration, maintaining a clean and safe pool facility, promoting Aquatics programs, liaising with USA Swimming and parents, and developing seasonal workout templates and meet entries. The role requires coordinating with the Aquatics Manager, participating in weekly 1-on-1 meetings, and leveraging ASCA/USA Swimming standards to deliver educational, safe experiences for participants while delivering strong customer service and program promotion.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 years of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA and USA Swimming
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year)
- Complete LTU Safety Training before first shift
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
Desired Qualifications
- ASCA Level 2 Certification or higher
- USA Swimming membership
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid Certified
- Safety Training for Swim Coaches certification
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
- Complete LTU Safety Training before first shift
- Lifeguard certification and Standard FA with CPR C (Canada) within specified timelines
