Job Summary
Conduct class sessions as scheduled, lead programs with enthusiasm, and manage all equipment to maintain a clean, risk-free environment. Organize and maintain program records, create staff schedules, and coordinate swim lesson programs for all ages. Recruit and train instructors, ensure they follow the YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor curricula, and oversee daily operations of the swim lesson program. Communicate effectively with participants and parents, ensuring children are picked up by a parent. Develop specialized training sessions and lead in service training and staff meetings. Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of advanced experience in specialty field and/or pursuing advanced education in a related field (i.e. Dance, Tennis, Martial Arts, etc.)
- Must be 21 years or older
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs
- Experience teaching a minimum of 4 years in the specialized area
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of the specialized area
- Obtain and maintain all new hires certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
