Aquatics-Assistant Swim Team Coach

Job Summary
Conduct daily swim practices under the head coach's direction and master technique for competitive swimmers. Collaborate with the Head Swim Team Coach to write and lead group workouts, while assisting with registering new participants. Maintain cleanliness and order within the state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools, both indoors and out. Promote Life Time products, services, and programs to guests and communicate effectively regarding inquiries. Requires ASCA membership, USA Swimming affiliation, and Life Time Swim Instructor Certification, plus StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid credentials. Full-time role with competitive pay, subsidized membership, RRSP match, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA
- Member of USA Swimming
- Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid
- Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
- Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education
