Job Summary
Conduct daily swim practices under the direction of the head coach and assist in writing group workouts. Register new participants for the team and maintain cleanliness and order of the aquatics facilities. Offer competitive swimmers opportunities to master technique while promoting Life Time products, services, and programs. Work in a fast-paced environment using state-of-the-art recreational and lap pools both indoors and out. Requires ASCA membership, USA Swimming membership, and Life Time Swim Instructor Certification. Must hold Lifeguard certification, BLS CPR, and First Aid.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of swim coaching experience
- Member of ASCA
- Member of USA Swimming
- Successfully complete and pass Life Time Swim Instructor Certification
- Ability to work in a stationery position and move about the club for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to communicate and exchange information with guests who have inquiries about Life Time products and services
- Ability to swim 25 yards/meters without stopping
- Ability to routinely and repetitively bend to lift 20 lbs or less and occasionally bend to lift more than 20lbs
- Lifeguard certification to StarGuard Elite Lifeguard, BLS CPR, and First Aid
- Certified (or bridge to StarGuard when current certification expires or within 1st year, whichever is first)
- Lifeguard Certification within 60 days of hire
- Must complete all job specific requirements with Life Time Education
Desired Qualifications
- ASCA Level 1 Certification or higher
