Job Summary
Lead energizing, fun, safe, and educational group classes in a water-based environment while maintaining the highest safety standards. Work closely with the Aquatics Director to communicate program information, distribute materials, and ensure operations align with YMCA policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records, complete accident/incident reports, and respond to emergency situations as assigned. Answer member questions to support healthy living goals and build authentic relationships within the community. Requires current CPR/AED, First Aid, and nationally recognized fitness certifications. Full training period of 30-60 days is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR/AED, and First Aid
- Nationally recognized Fitness Certification
- Completion of required trainings
- Specialty certification in areas of expertise
- In-Training for 30-60 days
- Ability to lift and carry 15-50 lbs
- Must be able to see, hear, direct, and assist members, guests, and staff to ensure safety
