Job Summary
Aquatic Field Technician responsible for applying aquatic herbicides and algaecides, installing and maintaining fountains and aeration systems, conducting water quality testing, controlling mosquito larvae, stocking fish, and performing littoral shelf and shoreline maintenance. Operates boats, ATVs, and spray trucks in outdoor environments; maintains records and delivers excellent customer service. Preferred qualifications include experience with aquatic vegetation control, fountain/aeration system installation, and an Aquatic Applicator license. Schedule options include Mon–Thu 7:00 AM–4:00 PM and Fri 7:00 AM–1:30 PM; positions located in multiple Florida sites (Ocala, The Villages, Orlando area, and surrounding locales). Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong work ethic with a passion for working outdoors
- Good math and science skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and carry a 40-lb backpack sprayer throughout the day on uneven terrain
- Comfortable working around water bodies in variable weather conditions
- Must have an excellent driving record
- Ability to pass a drug screening (Drug-Free Workplace)
