Job Summary
Maintain aquatic exercise programs and lead group activities for residents, clients, and community members while fostering a supportive environment for elderly participants. Assist with pool maintenance, cleaning, and water testing to ensure safety, and demonstrate competence in navigating the mechanical pump room and managing pool access. Guide new participants through orientation and enrollment processes, while collaborating with volunteers and directing staff for special events and monthly swims. Substitute for other attendants as needed and participate in continuing education regarding aquatics and geriatrics. Requires Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR certifications; offers 20 bi-weekly hours with variable Monday-Friday scheduling.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma/GED or demonstrated proficiency in reading and writing skills
- Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Attendant certification
- First Aid certification
- Current CPR certification
