Aquatic Assistant - Hourly

Job Summary

Monitor students, patrons, and staff to ensure a safe, clean, and positive learning environment while assisting the Aquatic Center Director with daily facility operations. Administer first aid, operate registration systems, and answer customer inquiries, reporting issues as appropriate. Assist in writing lesson plans, preparing reports and newsletters, and supporting routine in-service trainings for lifeguards and instructors. Manage staff scheduling, supervise volunteers, and implement new activities to expand the program model. Maintain records, files, and documents to comply with district guidelines. Requires CPR/First Aid certification, background clearance, and ability to lift, carry, and work while standing or walking.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Job related experience
  • CPR/First Aid Certificate
  • Clearances Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
  • TB Clearance
  • Child Abuse and Neglect Check
  • American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or LGI
