Job Summary
Conduct daily farm chores including feeding, mortality removal, and screen scrubbing while monitoring fish behavior and reporting abnormalities. Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems, manage truck cleanliness and care, and execute vacuum/pumping operations. Execute biosecurity procedures, maintain housekeeping and sanitation protocols, and assist with fish transfers. Complete all tasks adhering to safety guidelines and emergency action plans. This full-time role operates outdoors in inclement weather with early morning to mid-afternoon hours, requiring a driver's license and local travel.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to speak, read, understand and follow directions with or without reasonable accommodations
- Driver's license and good driving record

- High school Education or GED
- Aquaculture experience
- Aquaculture or related degree

- Heavy work exerting force frequently and constantly
- Lifting occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Working in waders
- Climbing in and out of raceways
- Climbing on and off trucks
- Range of motion as follows: Often requires walking or moving to accomplish tasks
- Often requires standing or sitting for sustained periods of time

- Lifting is required on an occasional basis

- Hearing must be adequate to perform duties and interact in person clearly and efficiently
- Manual dexterity as required for specific equipment or instrumentation use
- Requires clear vision, the ability to identify and distinguish color and to adjust focus
- Provides prompt, friendly and courteous service to internal and external customers
- Willingness to perform any task on the farm, not just one specific job or task despite the job, skill or seniority of an individual
- Performs and practices bio-security procedures around the farm
- Maintains appropriate housekeeping and sanitation procedures on the farm ensuring proper protocol and required biosecurity measures are followed
