Job Summary
Lead energizing aquatic group exercise classes that promote member wellness and engagement at YMCA locations. Motivate participants, adapt workouts for different fitness levels, maintain attendance records, and secure qualified substitutes as needed. Attend trainings to stay current on fitness trends and YMCA policies; follow emergency procedures and assist lifeguards as directed. Positions are Part Time and Non-Exempt at two YMCA sites (Rockford: SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA and Rockford: Northeast Family YMCA); compensation is $15.00 per hour. Minimum age 18; CPR/AED/First Aid within 90 days; preferred certifications include Y-USA Aqua Fitness, Y-USA Aqua Arthritis, or AEA; at least one year of group wellness experience preferred.
