Job Summary
Design, implement, and lead safe, effective, and enjoyable group Aqua Fitness classes for participants of various fitness levels. Educate attendees on exercise science, nutrition, and wellness while maintaining working relationships with staff and the public. Substitute into other established classes as needed. Maintain current CPR/AED certification and continuing education credits. First aid certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
- Graduation from high school or completion of GED
- Current Group Fitness Certification from an accepted national certifying organization
- Possession of current certifications in CPR/AED
Desired Qualifications
- First Aid certification
- Understanding and knowledge of exercise science, nutrition and wellness
- Knowledge of the principals and practices of fitness programming
- Ability to communicate effectively to establish and maintain working relationships with employees and the public
- Prior experience in instruction of specific specialty
