APU Balance Technician

Job Summary
APU Balance Technician responsible for analytical inspection, repair schemes, assembly, balancing and travelers for rotating parts and tools. Uses BALANCER/ Balancestar balance machine with static and two-plane balance methods; installs axial flow turbine blades on turbine disks using fixtures; stacks and stretches build for 331 rotating components; maintains equipment; reads micrometers/depth mics and interprets FARO results; writes technical reports and works independently or in teams; familiar with ERP data inputs, BOMs, and receiving/verifying instruction in FAA/EASA/ISO documentation; mentors others and ensures safety and quality in daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED minimum
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and metal work
- Minimum 1 year of balance experience preferred
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Quantum preferred
- Read and adhere to verbal and written instructions
