Job Summary
Part-time Student Professor teaching GIS and the Digital Earth course (GEG2320-C00) at the University of Ottawa. Responsibilities include using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software to encode, manipulate and store digital geospatial data; creating dynamic maps with satellite imagery and machine learning; understanding GPS and global navigation satellite systems; and applying ecological and population-based data in spatial analyses. The course aims to equip students with theoretical concepts and practical capabilities of geographic information science, with teaching conducted in English during the Winter 2027 term.
Required Qualifications
- M.A. or M.Sc. in Geography or related field
- Experience in GIS
- Knowledge of ARCGIS
