Job Summary
Conduct in-person quantitative research methodology instruction for a criminology course, covering epistemological and methodological questions. Deliver lectures on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Wednesdays, including a dedicated tutorial session. Supervise student research projects and demonstrate practical expertise in various quantitative methods. This role requires a Master's in criminology with advanced training in quantitative research methods and a track record in teaching or research publications. The position is part-time with 39 hours per week, scheduled for the 2027 Winter Semester at the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Social Sciences.
Required Qualifications
- Master's in criminology or equivalent
- more advanced training in quantitative research methods
- demonstrable track record of expertise in the field of quantitative methodologies
- previous teaching experience in the same or similar course and/or through research and publications in the field
- practical knowledge of how to use different quantitative methods
- ability to supervise student research projects
