Job Summary
Observation, reflection, and practice teaching in junior/intermediate division classrooms with mentoring and formative/summative evaluations by an associate teacher. Hybrid delivery includes ten in-person sessions on campus at the University of Ottawa (Main Campus) and two online modules via Brightspace, for a 39-hour work period across the academic term. Candidates must hold a Masters degree in education, have qualification in a field related to Ontario teaching, and possess recent teaching or school-board administration experience at the Primary Junior level. Knowledge of the Ontario Curriculum and the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers is required. Required Qualifications
- Masters degree in education
- Qualification in a field related to teaching in schools in Ontario
- Recent experience in teaching in a school or working in administration of a school board at the Primary Junior level
- Knowledge of the current Ontario Curriculum and of the Ethical Standards and Standards of Practice of the Ontario College of Teachers
- Experience or qualifications equivalent to those set out above
