Job Summary
Part-time Language Instructor (ILOB) for Fall 2026: ESL 105 – Pre-Academic Foundations in English taught Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–1:00 PM on the University of Ottawa Main Campus. Requires Master's degree in Second Language Teaching, TESL or related discipline, plus TESL certification and two years of ESL teaching at college/university level; experience with team-teaching. Rate will be based on the relevant collective agreement; position is in-person at Ottawa, ON, Canada. Applicants should note the in-person instruction requirement and the scheduling across the fall semester; emphasis on foundational reading/listening, spoken/written English development, and simple-to-simple/compound sentence construction.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in second language teaching, TESL or related discipline
- Two years of experience teaching ESL at the college/university level
- TESL Certification or equivalent
- Experience with team-teaching
- In-person instruction on University of Ottawa campus
