Job Summary
Part-time Regular Professor for ENG1100 Workshop in Essay Writing at the University of Ottawa. Responsibilities include delivering instruction for the course schedule (Wednesday 19:00-22:00), intensive practice in academic essay writing, emphasis on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources; use of Writing Centre resources outside regular class hours; participation in teaching activities under the APTPUO collective agreements. Requires Ph.D. in English with strong research expertise and publications; teaching at the Main Campus in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada; hourly rate of $239.47 for the 2024-2025 period, with retro pay as applicable. The position supports diversity and inclusion and is governed by the University of Ottawa policies and collective agreements.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D (English) required; research expertise and publications in this area strongly preferred
