Job Summary
Workshop in Essay Writing for ENG1100 (Fall 2026): Intensive practice in academic essay writing with emphasis on grammatical and well-reasoned expository writing, essay organization, preparation of research papers, and proper acknowledgment of sources. Frequent written exercises and development of composition skills; use of Writing Centre resources outside regular class hours. Part-time Regular Professor position; Ph.D in English strongly preferred with evidence of research and publications; acceptable equivalence to education/experience considered. Mandatory training and inclusive employment commitments accompany the role; schedule includes Tuesday evenings on the Main Campus in Ottawa, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Ph.D in English or equivalent research expertise and publications strongly preferred
- Experience and demonstrated ability to teach at the university level in English; ability to conduct and supervise research in English
